Meet Our Panel of Bloggers

We have some exciting contributors who you will be hearing from here on the Travel Washington Wine Country blog.

In our "Food Talk" category we have two exciting contributors from Walla Walla, Chef Mike Davis owner and Chef of 26brix in downtown Walla Walla and Krista McCorkle Davis, Mike's wife and partner in the restaurant and also the former Executive Director of the Walla Walla Wine Alliance. These two will be providing us with some great insight to the regional cuisine and hopefully we'll see some exciting tips, recipes and pairings as well.

Next up is Seattle wine educator and writer Richard Kinsies in our "The Experts Talk About Wine" category and Richard truly is an expert. Richard is the director and founder of the Seattle Wine School, the wine columnist for the Seattle Post-Intelligencer since 1982 and owns the recently opened Wine Outlet in the SoDo district of Seattle. He knows his Washington wine and will be able to talk on a vast array of topics to do with it.

Under "Locals Takes on the Region's Greats" we have Karen Krueger. She and her husband, Henner, are the Inn Keepers at the Orchard Inn Bed and Breakfast in Yakima. Karen owned a travel agency for years, and often offers their B&B visitors tips on where to go in the area. She will be sharing some of her discoveries with all of you by providing a "locals" perspective.

Other "floating" contributors are wine educator and Kennewick resident Linda Moran, myself, Jackie Walsh, Communications Director for Washington Wine Country and our Founding Director, Janet Leduc.

Enjoy the blog. We would all love to hear from you.

I am an aspiring travel writer who has decided to start my own travel website. My first featured location is Washington Wine Country. Ever since my parents moved to Spokane two years ago, I have been very interested in the region and felt that it was a good place to start my travel writing adventures. I have done hours and hours of research, but I would love the perspectives of some individuals that have first hand knowledge. If anyone is interested or knows someone that might be interested in helping me gather some more information, I would be very grateful for the help. My email address is anniedurkin@gmail.com. Thank you for your time.
