Celebration Sponsorships
Become a sponsor of the signature event of
Washington's vineyard region and have your business or brand
associated with the Wine Country Celebration event, the
first of its kind to host a series of fundraisers in
wineries throughout the wine growing appellations
themselves. Over the past four years this popular event has
continued to evolve, and each year attracts influential
business and community leaders from around the state in
addition to shining a spotlight on the many hidden treasures
of Washington’s wine country.
Throughout the year, Washington Wine Country works with
numerous organizations and partners who share a role and
belief in the continued growth and economic vitality of the
vineyard region. During the Wine Country
Celebration that list grows to include sponsors who help promote and make the Wine Country
Celebration a success. In addition to raising money to support
winery tourism, the Celebration is a catalyst for
involvement and awareness, and generates local pride. Most
importantly, it provides a vehicle for all citizens from
both sides of the state to contribute to the economic
rejuvenation of the wine country.
Wine Country
Celebration Milestones • Raised over $400,000 in
2006 including $42,600 towards The City Revitalization Fund
• Over 800
participants attended seven separate events throughout wine
country in 2006
• Generated press coverage and
awareness about Washington Wine Country in the eastern and
western parts of the state including numerous feature
articles, calendar listings and a special section in
Seattle Homes & Lifestyles
• Launched a new kick-off event in Seattle
that was attended by a group of highly influential business
and civic leaders who learned about the organization, the event and ways to participate in the burgeoning wine
tourism region of our state.
About the Beneficiary Through this event, Washington Wine
Country is able to fund programs and continue its mission of
reinventing the economies of Eastern Washington. We believe
in a wine-centered regional strategy and have produced a
brand to market the
area as “Washington Wine Country” to tourists and
investors. The brand has been extended through advertising
campaigns and projects that are executed by partnering with local
organizations, visitor and convention bureaus, winery
associations, economic development groups, and local
businesses.
We continue to refine and shape our programs to increasingly
entice investment and awareness among “thought leaders” by
educating them to the current and potential economic impact
of the wine growing region of our state.
Washington Wine
Country Programs 
Below is a sampling of the mission-related programs that
Washington Wine Country has developed and is currently
implementing:
City Revitalization Fund –
Grants are given to cities and/or economic development
associations to make improvements and aesthetic additions to
tourist areas within wine country.
Community Development –
Subsidizing the production of billboards,
avenue banners and city signage to mark
the streets and towns as Wine Country.
Branding Campaign –
Production, marketing and underwriting
of a full color campaign and Wine
Country merchandise to brand the region
as Washington Wine Country thus creating
a destination for tourists and investors
alike.
Events – Forge regional
partnerships through the promotion and
execution of events within all valleys
of Washington Wine Country in order to
draw tourists into the vineyard region.
Education & Public Awareness
– Utilize the “Juice” monthly e-zine to showcase new
amenities, wineries, business and investment within
Washington’s wine country. The publication is sent to a list
of over 5,000 qualified e-mail addresses. Present business
and entrepreneurial opportunities associated with the wine
country to local rotary, commerce groups and government as
well as investors.
