2007 Wine Country Celebration Milestones
• Raised over $440,000 through ticket sales, the silent and live auctions, “Raise the Paddle,” and event sponsorships, including $62,000 benefiting the newly created Regional Partnership Fund

• Attracted over 500 business and community leaders from both sides of the state

• Raised a record-breaking $73,000 in sponsorship dollars, evidence of a huge show of regional business support for the event

• Generated more press coverage and awareness in Eastern and Western Washington through numerous feature articles, radio spots, online advertising, an advertorial spread in Seattle Homes & Lifestyles magazine, and a :30 TV spot on Fisher stations

• In celebration of the event’s fifth year anniversary, Washington Wine Country launched the Regional Partnership Fund, aimed at bringing together community organizations and businesses to collectively promote wine-related and culinary tourism throughout the region

Washington Wine Country’s mission is to promote economic vitality through wine-related tourism, by fostering collaborative regional partnerships throughout the world-class wine growing region of eastern Washington. We believe the best way to do this is by partnering with local organizations, visitor and convention bureaus, winery associations, economic development groups, and local businesses. Some highlights of our work include the City Revitalization Fund, the Regional Partnership Fund, a strategic branding campaign, numerous special events, and a variety of educational and community development programs.
